Wilder Spaces - RHS Malvern Spring Show 2023

The garden reimagined wildlife gardening by integrating biodiversity into every element of its design. Structure, topography, and materials work alongside the planting to create a living landscape that supports wildlife at every level. Habitats are built into the very fabric of the garden using reclaimed materials, building waste, and untreated timbers.

A natural watercourse meandered through the site, feeding into a central pond and an area of lush bog planting. At its heart sits a pavilion, designed in collaboration with designer and TV presenter Charlie Luxton, featuring a living roof that offers a tranquil vantage point to observe the garden’s thriving ecosystems.

Carefully chosen cultivated plants provide pollen and nectar for insects, while native species sustain the larvae of butterflies, moths, and other invertebrates. Key plants such as hawthorn, ivy, nettle, blackthorn, and cow parsley form the backbone of this dynamic and ecologically rich space.

We were awarded an RHS Gold medal, Best in Show, Best construction and the peoples Choice award.
