Langlands Studio creates naturalistic, characterful gardens in Oxford, designed around the architecture, setting and people who live there.
Led personally by award-winning garden designer Jamie Langlands, each project combines strong spatial design with horticultural knowledge and carefully considered planting, from contemporary city gardens to larger properties on the edge of Oxford.
The studio offers a complete garden design service, from the first consultation and concept design through to detailed design, planting and implementation.
DESIGNING GARDENS

Oxford's gardens are remarkably varied, from enclosed city gardens and period townhouses to larger properties where the city begins to meet the surrounding countryside.
Rather than applying a particular style, each Langlands Studio garden begins with the character of the existing place. Architecture, views, mature trees, boundaries, soil and the wider landscape all help shape the design.
Planting plays an equally important role. Species are chosen for the conditions of the site as well as their character through the seasons, creating gardens that feel established, generous and connected to their surroundings.

Each project is developed personally by Jamie, from understanding the site and establishing the initial brief through to concept design, technical detailing, planting and implementation.

Langlands Studio is led by award-winning garden designer Jamie Langlands. With over 15 years' experience in garden and landscape design, Jamie brings together an artist's eye, horticultural knowledge and extensive experience designing gardens across Oxfordshire and further afield.
Every project is personally led by Jamie, from the first conversation and initial ideas through to the detailed design and planting of the finished garden.
